I’m glad to see the traditional Wesleyans depart from the perverted wreckage that was created by “liberal” idiots. The Episcopalians could take a lesson from this.
That schism is already completed, by the new Anglican group in the US, but from what little I can see, some the remaining Episcopalians who were not so disturbed as to leave with these new Anglicans are also beginning to chafe under the whole "pride flag" stuff.
Ditto with the ELCA versus other Lutherans who have left. Presbyterian and Methodist schisms are well underway.
What I find fascinating is that the whole "homosexual" marriage thing has so quickly lost its seeming luster, as "they" are not "marrying" in numbers as was predicted. And often not in a "church" wedding, but via civil ceremonies.
The demand that various denominations bow to the "gay" pressure is not religious, I conclude, but wholly political while draped in the garb of albs and robes and stoles....
Larp, as a verb, has entered our vocabulary, live action role playing. One notes it is a GAME. I think the various political attacks and subversion on churches -- and synagogues -- has been exactly that. A game, for purely political and no religious reasons.
After all, ask any "progressive" Methodist or Lutheran to read and explain Romans 1, and they are so flummoxed as to deny their own "official" scripture. Paul didn't mean it. Paul was wrong. My favorite -- the scriptures are wrong. Bingo.
Given the choices of God (seen through a traditional lens), the State (through a political-power lens), and Self (as simple narcissism) these choose the Self over God, excepting those that opt for the State.
