Poorly written article. Doesn't say
who made the airstrikes, or
who was the intended target.
Further down, the article talks about a civil war between the government and rebels. So I suppose it was one side or the other. I'm guessing the rebels don't have planes, but I could be wrong. I also don't know if foreign allies are involved in the fighting.
Lots of poor journalism these days.

"Lots of poor journalism these days." When most of today's journalism classes revolve around "D", "E", "I" or "Orange Man Bad", it's hard to construct an article based solely on facts.
