Biden admin quietly reverses Trump-era rule, bans transporting fossil fuels by train

The Biden administration quietly rescinded a Trump-era regulation allowing companies to transport liquefied natural gas (LNG) via rail in a victory for environmental groups.

In a federal filing Friday ahead of the holiday weekend, the Department of Transportation's Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) formally suspended the 2020 authorization of LNG transportation in rail tank cars. The rule will remain in effect until either a permanent rule regarding LNG rail tank car transportation is proposed and finalized — a process that may take several months — or June 30, 2025.

Headline appears misleading as only liquified natural gas seems to be affected, not other fossil fuels such as coal (on which railroad operations depend).

Doesn’t matter, this is how the slow boil starts and it’s been going on for awhile now.

Eventually, you know they’ll ban it all to corral us.

If it were LPG instead of LNG, then it would end all petroleum refining in the US.

Buffet didn’t agree to 10% for The Big Guy so no more fuel via trains.

Instead of banning stoves they will ban the delivery of gas to your area.

Cool - means cheaper natural gas for most of the US (other than the Northeast, LOL). Europe, on the other hand, will pay the price...

My town has 28 coal trains that pass through each day — the coal Coomes from Colstrip, MT and heads west to various electricity generating plants in the US & Canada with about 40% being transported overseas.

The very good thing is that the state has been taxing for 50+ years coal that is mined in Montana...the funds current balance is $1.1 billion.

Coal is good for Montana!

So pipelines are back or ... probably not.
We are to freeze and starve to save the planet.

It’s all a part of a war on working Americans. Biden has also made it impossible to build pipelines. If you can’t run natural gas through a pipeline you need to liquefy the natural gas and transport it my train, truck or ship. These Marxist are fully surrounding their target. No drilling, no transporting and no using, e.g., no gas stoves or furnaces.

It’s time to freeze the Marxists to death with their own policies.

“Consistent with EPA’s traditional approach to establishing pollution standards for power plants under section 111 of the Clean Air Act, the proposed standards are based on technologies such as
carbon capture and sequestration/storage (CCS)
low-GHG hydrogen co-firing”

“Base load affected facilities that follow the CCS pathway must meet a second phase standard based on 90% capture of CO2, using CCS, by 2035”

“Baseload affected facilities that follow the low-GHG hydrogen pathway must meet a second phase standard based on co-firing 30% low-GHG hydrogen by volume by 2032 and a third phase standard based on cofiring 96% by volume low-GHG hydrogen by 2038”

so yeah, whomever is running the Biden administration is 100% full speed ahead with destroying every vestige of American greatness that was built up over 200+ years.

The WTC took at least 5 years from groundbreaking to completion. They came down in barely over an hour.......

The Titanic took around 2-3 years from start to completion. It sank in under 3 hours.....

The US can very easily fall just as fast. And since the US has been the lynchpin of a global world, then if we fall, much of the world will fall down too.

The unique part of all of this is that the US pressed it’s own self destruct button.

This won’t be pretty!
