And ultimately the consumer, which is the point of the legislation.
Good accompanying video showing that this is no different than the poll tax that was struck down by SCOTUS and eliminated with the 24th Amendment.

Now with this plus the federal tax at basically the same rate, it might be an opportunity to renew challenges to excise taxes that infringe on enumerated rights. If “reasonable” taxes are allowed, where do you draw the line, especially when multiple jurisdictions can demand their own cut. Are we going to have state+federal+county+city excises next? I think to anyone other than a total communist, all this shows any tax, no matter how low, on gun sales is necessarily an infringement on law-abiding citizens’ ability to enjoy their rights.
People get the government they deserve.

Newsom will Pocket Veto.
He’s running for POTUS.
Why stop at 11%? Why not 1000%?
Or even just a $10 fee on every cartridge (and why stop at $10)?
I work in a gun shop and I see escapees from liberal states every day. And they bring their tax money with them.
It’s not like any of the Rat agenda is being hidden.
