Back in the day, 1979, Communist were getting up at what was called a "Death to the Klan" rally. It didn't end well for the Communist Workers' Party. 5 shot dead, several wounded.
It's claimed Neo-Nazis and KKK started the shooting. It's tough to find straight foreword info but it may have been the Commies that started it. Had to tell really in the raw video link below.
In any event, arrests were made but no one was convicted of the deaths. There was a civil suite against the Greensboro police that was won. The payout was $400,000. They may not have exhibited enough gusto to stop it.
