I have this picture of White House staffers spending a week closing the blinds during daytime hours, changing the clocks, and sitting Biden down to watch multiple screenings of Apocalypse Now in advance of this trip — just to make him think he was already there in Vietnam long before he actually got there.

This is, if I recall correctly the first or maybe only one of a handful of weekends in this administration when he didn't go home to Delaware and instead traveled for work. (Someday the public will learn about what he does there each weekend and families of dementia patients everywhere will be furious it was kept from them for so long)

They could have sent Harris, or Blinkin. There had to have been a good reason for Biden to go there.

Yeah. Jet lag would do any old adult with dementia in.
