The main story when it broke. When the Sheriff stated he refused to enforce it. This is a secondary article to the main initial story regarding refusal to comply. Or are you suggesting the main story was not breaking news, but secondary stories are? lol...

And it’s likely the Johnny come lately NM AG only came out with this today because the Sheriff declared he was refusing to comply yesterday. This is not complex.

And from my experience with these moderators, it’s no surprise.

The sad thing is that she is a lawyer, yet, she knows nothing of law nor respect for it.

If there are no lawsuits brought, no court can strike down the governor’s decree.

There are already four lawsuits filed, plus two emergency injunctions.

She’s certainly side-show-freakish enough for a Democrat cabinet post. Maybe Sec of Commerce. After Booty Juice fixes the racist interstates, maybe she can address why the top shelves in the grocery stores are so high. The shortening population, due to Central American immigrants, could be addressed, and the shelves won’t have so many bare spots if they take away 20% of their capacity.

Thanks to the AG for the correct stand on the Constitution.

Next? Watch the tyrannical governor assemble and use her personal Gestapo Police force to enforce her unconstitutional order.

And after that it will be Katey bar the door.

Yeah...The Clintons, Biden, Obama....for those on the left, knowing the law is about knowing what you can get away with. The Corleones put adopted son Tom Hagen through law school for much the same reasons as our crooked pols go that route, it seems.

Either this is a negotiation tactic - start with something so extreme that even something else egregious looks sane, even if it’s not - or they’re setting us up for trying to repeal the 2nd Amendment itself.

These games of brinkmanship are becoming more frequent, more confrontational, with steadily escalating stakes. Brings to mind a quote I've read, which is probably very prescient - “On the road to tyranny, we’ve gone so far that polite political action is about as useless as a miniskirt in a convent. Something’s eventually going to happen. Government will bloat until it chokes us to death, or one more tyrannical power grab will turn out to be one too many. Maybe it’ll be one more round of “reasonable gun control” or one more episode of burning children to death to save them from “child abuse.” Whatever, something will snap.” - Claire Wolfe

You’d think she’d have rounded up some support before, like, stepping out the window.

Word is that she was warned by the BC Sheriff and others 30 minutes before her news conference that her order was unconstitutional, but she issued it anyway.

Well, I agree and I think the snap will first occur in the Dem Controlled cities, the toxic mix is there for all to see.

Now just decrease the food supply ( now in progress) and watch the snap. It seems the larger scheme of things is well planned and coordinated....the question is, “What will patriots do?” Hang on, or organize committees of safety by neigborhood as the hungry urban masses head for the country side in an exodus?

It looks like we are on the slippery slope unless the 2024 election stops the slide.

>>”Her sherrifs have said they will not enforce it because it violates their oath of office,,”

Too bad that more in Washington don’t show the same strength of character. Too bad more FBI, DOJ, Secret Service, etc., employees aren’t willing to defy un-Constitutional orders.

Too bad no red state AG’s have been willing to fight back with indictments of their own. But maybe we’re starting to see the tide turn.

“She’s being sued, as I recall, individually, and in her official capacity in many of these lawsuits. Now, the state won’t pay for her defense because even the Democrat Attorney General realizes she way, way, way overstepped and won’t touch it with a 10 foot pole. I kind of want to see this open up the floodgates for more people to sue her as she is now on her own.”

and another point is that if she doesn’t somehow fight all these lawsuits, she could lose a bunch of them, which in the case of the Federal suits sets big time national precedents ... the left has overall been somewhat cautious in the kind of lawsuits they provoke for fear of precedents going against them ... this idiot lujan has opened the floodgates that could have long-term net benefit for gun rights ...

I think it's a mixed bag of threat matrix scenarios. What I'm foreseeing is some sort of order, diktat, regulation will come out that's so absurd that it would be destructive to obey. That's easily a scenario where a "red" state or "red" jurisdictions would reject their authority and refuse to comply out of self-preservation. The sociopaths at the levers of power at the fed level as well as in various "blue" jurisdictions across the nation only rule, they don't govern. They have nothing to offer but chaos - their idea of "order", is ultimately chaos by default whatever their method, wherever the locale. I don't believe in any singular "plan" - just various de-centralized factions at the fed, state and local levels doing what they want, what works for them, and to hell with the rest. The rise of various city-states following their own determinations and a coalescing opposition against them heralds an acceleration towards an increasingly dis-United States. Are patriot folk ready for that - I don't know. A lot of normalcy bias to overcome, and too many people inside the processes cannot read the situations.

No, nothing sincere about Raul Torres. He is playing “defender of gun rights” for his Governor run next year. But rest assured, that “RTFL” letter is his outline on the laws he will happily advocate and sign.

New Mexico laws are very lenient compared to most states. Torres is very ready to aggressively push the New Mexico laws right up against that limit. He would happily bring NM laws up to NYC or California or Oregon standards.

Don’t fall for it that Torres was fighting the good fight. This is an amateur (New Mexico) version of “good cop, bad cop”.

I wonder if the Governor is trying to beat the AG to a “back door” attempt at something else? I’m not sure, but when leftists attack each other it’s one of two things:
1–power grab
2–A distraction to something bigger in the background.

I just watched Gov Lubejob's interview with Poppy Harlow on CNN from earlier today.

This b---h is crazy. Full-blown, wild-eyed, mentally deranged 5150. Get out of New Mexico today.

I see you have not spent much time in New Mexico. Your childlike trust that the Democrat Sheriff and AG are standing up for the good proves that.

But go ahead, spike the ball and think they are stalwart defenders and not hard core leftists.
