Unfortunately there is still an Albuquerque police department that will enforce the order. Even if the AG doesn’t prosecute, folks will get detained and arrested unless the police chief also refuses to participate and orders his officers accordingly.

The Chief of APD has said his officers will not enforce. Which surprised me, as he’s a political tool. But APD is understaffed and has severe morale problems.

Enforcement, if any, will be State Police. They have issued no statement as of this time, but I doubt they like being The Wicked Witch of Santa Fe’s flying monkeys. Plus, they don’t have that many officers in the area (only 400 for the entire state, and we’re a big state).
