Biden's White House will send letter to CNN, NY Times and other top outlets demanding them to probe 'lies' behind GOP's plan to impeach president

The Biden administration has been blasted over plans to send out a letter to many of the major news organizations across the country demanding they probe the 'lies' of the House GOP's impeachment inquiry.

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy announced an official impeachment inquiry on Tuesday over allegations of corruption and involvement in son Hunter's business dealings, setting off fiery reactions from Democrats.

Ian Sams, a special assistant to the president and senior advisor to the White House Counsel's Office, penned a letter to both conservative and liberal-leaning outlets, slated to be distributed Wednesday in an apparent attempt to influence their coverage. Among outlets targeted are CNN, the New York Times, the Associated Press and Fox news.

'It's time for the media to ramp up its scrutiny of House Republicans for opening an impeachment inquiry based on lies,' Sams wrote.

Sams added the impeachment inquiry should 'set off alarm bells for news organizations,' but commentators both left and ring-wing have condemned the interference.

Journalist Matthew Keys tweeted: 'This is not okay. The White House should not be encouraging, influencing or interfering in the editorial strategies of America's newsrooms, including CNN and the New York Times.

Keys added: 'The media is the problem. The bigger problem, at the moment, is what the White House is apparently planning to do, if Oliver Darcy's reporting is correct (I have no doubt it is).

'And that is the kind of short-sighted move that gets Donald Trump re-elected next year.' He was referring to CNN's media reporter Oliver Darcy, who first broke news of the letter.

The White House is demanding the news media avoid what Sams and the Bidens believe is false equivalency reporting.

'Covering impeachment as a process story – Republicans say X, but the White House says Y – is a disservice...

Can't they be bribed?

They can be intimidated, which seems to the point.

Mike Lee was all over the White House censorship and creating the media narratives in the senate hearing on books in schools today and other examples of directly directing the media.

John Kennedy was also good today by reading directly from the gay porn books that are pushed in to some school libraries

The GOP could always retaliate and start cutting the funding of alphabet soup regulatory agencies, but they are not going to.

What, nobody faxes anymore?

It was so much simpler when the LAAP-dog media just had to check the secret fax machine every morning. Now the whole world knows their business!

Let me guess, like LBJ asking CBS if they were trying to f*&k him following a Morley Safer report on Vietnam?

YGBSM

The White House has been dictating editorial strategies ever since China Joe was inaugurated, and the press couldn't wait to to comply.

A behind-the-scenes look at how Hunter’s plea
deal nearly came together before it fell apart.

It was Halloween of 2022, and Hunter Biden’s lawyer, Chris Clark, didn’t sound happy. Just three weeks earlier, news had leaked that federal agents believed they had enough evidence to charge his client with illegally buying a gun as a drug user.

The leak was “illegal,” the lawyer wrote to the U.S. attorney overseeing the probe. The prosecution, he argued, would be seen as purely political, and it might even violate the Second Amendment. Then he issued a warning: If the Justice Department charged the president’s son, his lawyers would put the president on the witness stand. “President Biden now unquestionably would be a fact witness for the defense in any criminal trial,” Clark wrote in a 32-page letter reviewed by POLITICO.

That letter, along with more than 300 pages of previously unreported emails and documents exchanged between Hunter Biden’s legal team and prosecutors, sheds new light on the fraught negotiations that nearly produced a broad plea deal. That deal would have resolved Biden’s most pressing legal issues — the gun purchase and his failure to pay taxes for several years — and it also could have helped insulate Biden from future prosecution by a Republican-led Justice Department.

The documents show how the deal collapsed — a sudden turnabout that occurred after Republicans bashed it and a judge raised questions about it. The collapse renewed the prospect that Biden will head to trial as his father ramps up his 2024 reelection bid.

Who needs a letter? Just utilize the network of intelligence operatives at the print media outlets. We can all rest assured that the Uniparty has the same dominant relationship with all media as the Twitter Files showed it has with social media.

What’re they looking for? 50 other “investigators” to sign off that what the GOP is doing “has all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation?”

There is already a temporary restraining order in place preventing large swaths of the government from coordinating and controlling social media messaging. An sppeals court just upheld it. Maybe it needs to be extended.

Collusion is a deceitful agreement or secret cooperation between two or more parties to limit open competition by deceiving, misleading or defrauding others of their legal right. Collusion is not always considered illegal. It can be used to attain objectives forbidden by law; for example, by defrauding or gaining an unfair market advantage. It is an agreement among firms or individuals to divide a market, set prices, limit production or limit opportunities.[1] It can involve “unions, wage fixing, kickbacks, or misrepresenting the independence of the relationship between the colluding parties”.[2] In legal terms, all acts effected by collusion are considered void.[3]
