Fire engulfs shipyard hit by Ukrainian missiles in Russia-annexed Crimea

two Russian navy ships engulfed in flames following a Ukrainian missile attack on a shipyard in Sevastopol in Russian-occupied Crimea, authorities said.

Sevastopol’s Russia-installed governor, Mikhail Razvozhayev, said on the Telegram messaging app that Ukraine carried out the missile attack in the early hours of Wednesday, and Russian air defences attempted to repel the incoming projectiles. Russian ships at sea had also repelled a sea-borne drone attack.

...Russia’s Ministry of Defence said later that Ukrainian forces launched 10 cruise missiles at the shipyard and three unmanned sea drones at Russian ships in the Black Sea.

“The Ukrainian armed forces launched a strike with 10 cruise missiles at the S. Ordzhonikidze ship repair plant,” the Russian Defence Ministry said on Telegram.

“As a result of being hit by enemy cruise missiles, two ships undergoing repairs were damaged,” the ministry said.

If hitting a couple ships is winning, ok, they’re winning

I guess they didn’t need Starlink after all.

Actually, Ukraine built most of the missiles for the FSU.
Rocket motors retrieved from a Ukrainian boneyard were probably what allowed the NORKS to build their latest missiles.

No wonder they are playing so well this year.

One was a submarine according to Russian bloggers: “unfortunately, three Storm Shadow missiles reached their target: the landing ship Minsk and the submarine Rostov-on-Don, which were in dry dock, received varying degrees of damage.”

Brilliant, stealth cruise missile attack on a naval HQ base of Russia for the last 240 years. Black Sea Base of nuclear armed Russian submarine fleet. Missiles apparently Franco-British-German MBDA manufactured precision stealth cruise missiles. Guided by Ukranian precision stealth missile operators no doubt. Poke the bear in the eye, see what happens. Hopefully bear is blinded and cannot see to reciprocate.

I think this morning the bear is manning the bucket line. Perhaps the poked bear will respond with NORK arms tomorrow.

Can you imagine being so short of your own arms manufacturing that you have to turn to NK? I guess NK knows how to make their own stuff from dirt because they don’t get many imports either.

And to a North Korean…Russian cash looks good. There are not too many places in the world where that is true these days.

North Korea has a lot to gain from Putin. What does Russia have? Grain, Oil, Coal, Rocket technology, Modern aircraft. Even if its food for ammo North Korea wins. Besides, if WW III starts I do not see how North Korea can say out of it anyway and if The Axis wins—they get a seat at the victory table and can shape the New World Order. Maybe the Axis can have better success running the world than we did. We managed to make a jolly mess of things.

If hitting a couple ships is winning, ok, they’re winning

uh, ship + submarine

and if Ukraine can do that every week, that's 52 ships & 52 subs destroyed every year ... that adds up

there's a new drone war happening, and Ukraine is not only good at it, they're getting better every day ... and all the NATO countries will benefit from sharing this new knowledge

You will not have long to wait the people in charge of things are planning the “Lusitania Moment” where some really horrible thing will happen to enrage the American and European people to go to war. Some one may well get shot—or some new Awful event that will see lots of Americans die. What will it be? Take your pick: 1. Ship being sank, 2. New 9-11, 3. Nuke plant blown up, 4. Blow up a stadium in a big game, 5. Burn a huge hotel?

I believe those missiles came via UK. Twitter (X) mentioned it this morning.

Hope this doesn't turn into a Threads moment.

I haven’t watched that movie in years. I might actually have it, too.
