Ron DeSantis Claims Presidential Viability, But Fox News Ticker Disagrees
The Bharat Express News ^ | September 15, 2023

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (right) tried to make his case on Fox News to become Donald Trump’s 2024 Republican presidential nominee, but the network’s news ticker continued to undermine him.

DeSantis appeared on the network Friday to explain the steps he is taking to ensure his victory in next year’s Republican primaries, including visiting 55 of Iowa’s 99 counties.

“We’ll be in those early states — Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina — making the case for people, answering their questions, shaking their hands,” DeSantis said, “and doing what we need to do to be able to show that we will To be the 47th President of the United States.”

DeSantis said everything you’d expect from a presidential candidate, but there was just one tiny problem: The network’s news ticker kept dropping “truth bombs” that seemed to detonate his claim about viability.

During the interview, the ticker noted the following:

“DeSantis hasn’t polled above 20% in a national poll since July.”

“Fox Poll: Trump Leads DeSantis by 47 Points in 2024 GOP Field.”

“Fox Poll: 13% GOP support for DeSantis marks his lowest level yet.”

“Fox Poll: GOP support for DeSantis is down 15 points since February.”

“Fox Poll: Biden Leads DeSantis 47% to 44% in Hypothetical Matchup.”

“August: DeSantis replaced campaign manager as part of campaign reset.”

“DeSantis trails Trump by more than 30 points in both Iowa and New Hampshire.”

The fact DeSantis thinks he is going to swing a 50 point deficit is ludicrous also.

RE: The fact DeSantis thinks he is going to swing a 50 point deficit is ludicrous also.

There is one way. Hubert Humphrey benefited from the death of Robert F. Kennedy. And Lyndon B. Johnson from the death of JFK.

God forbid.

I do NOT mean anything again DeSantis. It’s the Dems who will not allow Trump to win, by lawfare, name off the ballot or worse.

We live with roughly half the country consisting of vermin Dems.

Even if, God forbid, something happened to Trump, or if they kept him off the ballot next year, I still wouldn’t vote for DeSantis or any of the other candidates. I’d simply write Trump’s name in. Trump will likely be the last Republican candidate I ever vote for. I won’t compromise my values ever again to vote for a wannabe conservative pushed on me by the GOPe. They can go pound salt.

When DeSantis took the advice of Karl Rove and the Bush family, he became dead political man walking.

DeSantis should hold off until Trump has served another full term.

I’m with you on that. Donald Trump is far from perfect. But he’s the very last hope for the Republic. If he loses (see my tagline), then I’m done. I will not vote for any GOPe stooge or for any sacrificial lamb.

Instead I will retreat to some small town, and live out my remaining days watching ‘Leave it to Beaver’ reruns. Good luck to those conservatives who still thing they can make a difference.

"Good luck to those conservatives who still think they can make a difference."

You and I both know, that if they keep voting for bad candidates just to keep the seat Republican, they aren't making a difference. They are perpetuating the problem.

If I'm lucky enough to be alive in November 2024, I will vote a third time for President Trump. I was a registered Republican for well over 40 years, but in the aftermath of January 6th, I felt I could no longer, with good conscience remain in that party. I'm now registered in "no party," which is where I will stay until I draw my last breath. And if the good Lord lets me live to 2028, and the GOPe gets some dickwad nominated, I'll write Trump's name in again, whether he's alive or not.

This lead-off sentence from the article does not make sense grammatically.

DeSantis showed himself to be just another GOP pretender. I will never cast a vote for him.

Karl Rove has been the kiss of death for over a decade now,
and the powers that be still don’t get it.

The fact DeSantis thinks he is going to swing a 50 point deficit is ludicrous also.

Nah, it means he is hoping the political assassination of Trump is succesful, just like all the rest of them. He's part of the plot people, They take out Trump, DeSantis (or one of the other henchmen in the GOP) steps in as the fake opposition candidate, business as usual is restored.

This sure is how it looks at this point.

That may be what he is hoping. But this is in response to what he said. In the interview he said what Biden is saying is “ludicrous.” I can flip that. What Desantis says is also ludicrous. He is a true believer like the rest of the Desimps. “It’s too early. Just wait for the next debate. Desantis hasn’t really gotten his message out there. Trump doesn’t have a ground game. Desantis has been doing a brilliant job in the early states (40 pts down.) Polls are meaningless. People are still undecided.” All ludicrous lies.
