People in cars were blocked from leaving by concrete blocks. They couldn’t drive out. The ones that left went offroad, whether on root or otherwise. I have no idea why they put up concrete blocks so quickly, unless the authorities wanted them dead.

Concrete blocks is a new detail that I haven’t heard before. I thought the videos of the police officers and cars blocking the intersection were pretty clear and there were no concrete blocks. The two police cars were parked front bumper to front at about 90 degrees. Then the police officers directed the fleeing back towards the fire. No concrete blocks.

It’s a two-for. They burned everything to the ground to dispossess the owners of their property and for good measure, they blocked the roads to try and cremate as many owners as possible so there would be no one to claim ownership of even the land.
