I would never have thought a serious film like Oppenheimer would have done almost $1 Billion at the box office.

I'm more surprised it did so well due to the type of film it was, a biopic. This movie screams "wait for NETFLIX". Theaters are great for big cinematic films like Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Days of Thunder, Bladerunner, Apocalypse Now, Skyfall, etc. An Oppenheimer biopic? I look forward to watching that on my sofa.

Someone told my wife that her Hoka sneakers looked like the ones worn by Barbie in the movie. Now, she’s bugging me to see it, which is the last thing I want to do.

Took me a while, but I finally saw Oppenheimer.

My God, did it suck!

Three hours of watching cartoon characters preaching and preening on screen. Best picture for makeup, perhaps. Otherwise it was interminable and dreadful.

Last Sunday my wife and I watched the movie Tar. I was not impressed. In retrospect, having suffered through Oppenheimer, Tar was a much more original and worthwhile film. Watching Oppenheimer, getting nuked and vaporized in a thermonuclear war would have come as a welcome relief.
