Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) was promptly fact-checked on Tuesday after spewing a "complete falsehood" about greenhouse gas emissions.
At a House Subcommittee on Energy and Mineral Resources hearing on the Biden administration's "mismanagement of the federal onshore oil and gas program," Ocasio-Cortez claimed that nearly one-quarter of U.S. "carbon pollution" comes from oil and gas drilling on federal lands.
"As it stands, nearly a quarter of the United States' current carbon pollution comes from fossil fuel production on federal lands and waters," she claimed.
But according to Kathleen Sgamma, president of the Western Energy Alliance, the New York Democrat is wrong.
Not only did Sgamma open her testimony by calling out Ocasio-Cortez for her "complete falsehood," but with data in hand, Sgamma corrected the record.

Exactly! That is what they should be arguing, that the amou to of co2 in the atmosphere is so small that it can’t possibly be making any impact whatsoever. What does have a slight impact in select areas though is places with large tarred areas, but the amount of impact globally is negligible as Forrester areas and larks etc far outweigh the parking lots worldwide
I got a call from Duke energy pushing a carbon dioxide reduction program. I interrupted the caller, saying "Excuse me, do you realize carbon dioxide is plant food? If we eliminate CO2 we will all die! Seriously, we need more CO2 in the atmosphere." She replied, "Thank you for your time" and hung up.
AOC seems to operate with an incomplete, and biased intellect. She’s all you have to know about American media, New York city voters, and the dem. political operations.
We need dissolved CO2 in the blood to be involved in the chemical reactions which convert highly toxic blood ammonia into much less toxic and excretable urea. Called the urea cycle among other names. Check it out in a basic biochem textbook or online.
I always bring out that fact if some CO2 paranoid bloviator talks about how toxic CO2 is. As mentioned earlier CO2 is plant food. And plants make oxygen...so CO2 is a very necessary commodity.
She is not accustomed to being challenged on her diatribe. This is the problem with almost all liberals. They state platitudes as if they were factual. When you challenge them with the correct facts their only recourse is getting angry and name calling.

This is what the media will report - while ignoring the real facts from Sgamma, the president of the Western Energy Alliance - who will be labeled a “conspiracy theorist” - while AOC is considered the expert.
I had someone say once, after I mentioned how little co2 there is compared to our 6.5 quadrillion ton atmosphere, “well it may be a small amount, but so is arsenic, and a little bit is deadly” lol
The left also love talking about. “Tipping Point” of around 450 ppm co2 in the atmosphere, or whatever arbitrary number they choose, but the fact is that life thrived just fine back when there was far more than twice the current co2 in the atmosphere. It was estimated that co2 back when was around 1000 or so ppm in the atmosphere, and the ,eft today scream about 400 or ppm being “close to the tipping point where all life will cease to exist” or some such nonsense.
There are so,many facts like past enormous amounts of co2 to refute the asinine c.aims of the left today, but sadly the left have deceived the world I to thinking that man is a virus that must lay for their “enviro-sins” by self flaggelation and denial. The world has bought into the ,ie hook line and sinker.
Accordi g to bible prophecy we have more than 1007 more years of life on earth before God destroys it and creates a new heaven and new earth. Life will continue to thrive for at least 1007 years, likely much longer. We are nowhere a “tipping point “ like the lying left claim

And...water vapor is a bigger player than CO2....and methane is a more potent greenhouse gas than CO2..there are bacteria that produce methane, not to mention humans who make lots of methane...
What we have is a bunch of ignorant paranoid “climate change” ideologues running the government on top of a senile corrupt man...if they would go after China and India and their “carbon footprint” they would have a bit of integrity...but these are cuhrazee people...could be the master plan to scare the population into compliance..
