The head of the Central African Republic on Thursday accused the West of triggering a migration crisis by pillaging Africa's natural resources through slavery and colonization.

Taking the podium at the United Nations General Assembly, Faustin-Archange Touadera addressed the migrant crisis on the Italian island of Lampedusa, where thousands of African migrants arrived last week, overwhelming the local community and causing a major headache for the European Union.

"These young people who symbolize the present and the future of our continent are desperately seeking to join the countries of the European continent in search of an El Dorado," Touadera said.

"This escalation of the migrant crisis is one of the appalling consequences of the plundering of natural resources of countries made poor by slavery, colonization and Western imperialism, terrorism and internal armed conflicts," he added.

Western governments and aid organizations have poured billions of dollars into African countries suffering from hunger, armed conflict and other crises over the years, but critics say delivery of the aid is often hampered by corruption from local governments and militants

I can remember when American DAIRY farmers organized “THE HEIFER PROJECT”..

THEY DONATED 2 year old PREGNANT dairy cow heifers to AFRICA. The ids was to have the heifer grow older-—have her calf—and be bred back with AI.

That way, the herd could keep growing & the milk would help “the Children”.

THE AFRICANS BUTCHERED & ATE THE PREGNANT HEIFERS.

NO MORE DONATIONS FROM DAIRY FARMERS

“pillaging Africa’s natural resources through slavery and colonization.”

Pillaging through slavery?

So he’s saying those Africans who were enslaved were a vital natural resource?

Would he like us to return them??? Because that can be arranged.

“60 million acres of uncultivated arable land. Nearly 60% of the world’s total.”

Might be technically “arable” but much of it is very marginal, acidic soil in which most food crops don’t grow well.

Who would have thunk? “Feed the Children” “Live Aid” and all those doogooders sending food to Africa caused a population boom.

The son of one of my neighbors worked in Africa as a missionary for 2 years-as a grad of A&M, he was helping the ag people there figure out why the soil was in such poor condition-for starters, the farmers just planted, replanted year after year the same stuff-never thought of rotating a crop or enriching the soil and letting a field lie fallow for a year.

They either didn’t learn-or refused to learn rotation from the White farmers at all, either. It isn’t the soil-it is that the people never listen to anyone they hire to help them-they are either stubborn or just dumb-either way, it is not any other continent’s problem after all this time-surely a couple 1000 years is enough time for people to learn simple farming and animal husbandry when they have been taught by everyone starting all the way back with the Egyptians...

Supposedly only 2.9% of the land in the Central African Republic is arable.

Their statistics are pretty bad even compared to neighboring countries. Per capita GDP: $980. Life expectancy: 53.7 years for men, 56.4 years for women. Infant mortality rate: 84.2 for every 1,000 live births. 48.2% of the population undernourished.

But if they would just rename the country Wakanda things would be much better.
