The dramatic increase in migrants crossing the U.S. border from Mexico has pushed the city of El Paso, Texas, to “a breaking point,” with more than 2,000 people per day seeking asylum, exceeding shelter capacity and straining resources, its mayor said on Saturday.
“The city of El Paso only has so many resources and we have come to … a breaking point right now,” Mayor Oscar Leeser said at a news conference.

El Paso County is historically Democratic. In the 2008 election Obama won 66% of the vote with 121,589 votes even though he lost the entire state of Texas by about 946,000 votes. Republican John McCain won 33% of the vote in El Paso County with 61,598 votes.

To many Democrats’ surprise, while Joe Biden won by 17 percentage points in counties near the Texas-Mexico border, this was only half of Hillary Clinton’s 33-point lead in the same counties (Samuels et al. 2020). This indicates that more people voted for Donald Trump in 2020 than in 2016 in these traditionally Democrat counties. One of these counties, El Paso, boasted that more El Pasoans voted in the 2020 presidential election than in any other election in the past 20 years (Villagran 2020). According to the El Paso Times, “more than 256,000, or 53% of registered voters cast a ballot in the 2020 election,” and a majority of these votes, 222,149, were cast via early voting (Villagran 2020). More specifically, in El Paso County, 66.4% of voters cast a ballot for Joe Biden while 32.0% voted for Donald Trump (El Paso Times 2020). For comparison, in 2016, 72.7% of El Pasoans voted for Hillary Clinton, and 27.3% voted for Donald Trump (The New York Times 2016).

The Federal gov’t ain’t gonna do squat. Except maybe give some of the migrants work permits.
There was an article in the Wall Street Journal this weekend on how the vast increase in foreign workers is good for the economy, because that leads to fewer worker shortages and resultant lower wages.
So the Democrats like the migrants because many become dependent on the government for support, resulting in their support for Democrats, and the fat cats in both parties like the idea of paying lower wages.
In any case, the sheeple get screwed as usual.

CNN is reporting that Mexico has an agreement with the United States to deport illegals from its border cities to their home countries and take several actions to deter migrants as part of a new effort to combat the recent surge in border crossings.
Mexican officials met with US Customs and Border Protection officials on Friday in Ciudad Juárez,, Mexico, which is across the border from El Paso, Texas, following the recent spike in illegal crossings into the US, which temporarily closed an international bridge and paused Mexico’s main cargo train system.
As part of the agreement, Mexico agreed to “depressurize” its northern cities, which border the El Paso, San Diego and Eagle Pass, Texas, where the mayor has declared a state of emergency. They will also implement more than a dozen actions to prevent migrants from risking their lives by using the railway system to reach the US-Mexico border, according to Mexico’s National Migration Institute.
Mexico is happy to comply because the crush of illegals is a skyrocketing burden to its economy and border areas as well. Human trafficking by cartels and associate drug related crime has been hard to control in the past, now becoming unmanageable under current conditions.

Time is running out before these illegals mass together into an “identity group,” organize politically, and decimate our country to Third World levels in a calculated measure far greater than what we’ve already seen.
