The House Oversight and Accountability Committee on Tuesday morning announced a probe into a recent interstate trip by Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm intended to promote electric vehicle (EV) adoption, during which departmental staff vehicles allegedly blocked off a charging station for her.
In a letter Tuesday, committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) and environment subcommittee Chairman Pat Fallon (R-Texas) requested documents and communications relating to the September trip, including the itinerary, names of drivers and passengers and a list of vehicles involved.
The letter specifically mentions an incident during the trip in which a staffer reportedly blocked off an EV charger in Georgia to reserve it for Granholm’s use. A family seeking to use the charger called the police during the episode, although blocking off a charger is not illegal under Georgia law.

Comer is a good guy and tenacious. He’s a fighter.
But “requested documents and communications” and “wrote a letter” because her staff blocked an EV charger? Come on, what a waste of time. Focus your efforts on putting the Biden Crime Syndicate in jail for bribery, corruption, and treason.
This is called PLAYING OFFENSE and it’s very rare to see Republicans doing it, but it’s great to see!!!
In this case, it’s a minor incident, far more minor than, say Bill Clinton getting a haircut at LAX (for example), but it’s these pinpricks that will WEAKEN the Democrats, so keep it up, guys!
Jennifer kept shouting there’s a gas station pullover
They should be putting forth legislation mandating that Any State that receives Federal Funding for Transportation, require 100% of the Public Employee’s in that State exclusively use EV vehicles for ALL TRAVEL.
You are 100% right. Comer is one of the few who know it’s a war. This is going on offense for a change.
Every little bit helps. These people think they are above us all, and they desperately deserve to be brought back to reality. Whether any law was broken is irrelevant, as the actions of the “cancel culture” repeatedly demonstrate.
USE THEIR OWN WEAPONS AGAINST THEM!
This is just ONE of the ways to bring the poseurs back to real life.
People driving EV’s should start paying road taxes. Also, gas station operators should start charging a restroom fee.
It would have been so much easier for them to use the PlugShare app or ABRP app. LOL
Alabama charges a $200 EV fee during annual registrations (colloquially referred to as "getting your car tag") to offset not having to pay the gas tax. IMHO that's reasonable. I hear other states do the same.
She’s simply more equal and more important than you.
Keep your place, Citizen... Eyes downcast... Attitude deferential and servile.
Grannyholme has such large ears, but such a miniscule brain.
My SIL worked for the feds. Traveled by car a lot. Nobody would take any EV’s from the motor pool. They all sat for a year collecting dust. Eventually, she says they just “went away”. Even a free car was wildly unpopular among federal government employees. She l9ved the big SUV’s. They made her antique hunting, golf outings, and ladies luncheons, much more roomy and practical.
“Nit wit” is being kind; she’s much worse than that.
Where is the investigation into the FAA and the Fish and Game departments for dragging their feet on approving the next Starship launch.
Where were these two government agencies in Florida during all the mishaps and rockets blowing up with people getting killed, funny I don’t recall them stopping any NASA launches.
Those aren’t ears, they’re handles.
I tend to agree.
Unless they encountered something corrupt or illegal not sure what they’re accomplishing.
Agree we need to hit them everywhere, overwhelm them (like they do to our society). But we have limited resources and need to put them behind the best arrowhead.
They should have only EV's to choose from in the motor pool plus no reimbursement should they choose to conduct their business in their private vehicle. Make them live it.
sure is.
