If our Naval defense research labs haven't been completely occupied with drag shows, they will have developed some deadly torpedo drones that, in groups if not alone, would be more than capable of sinking any Chinese ship.

That's not even an advanced technology. Just a rather simple use of existing know-how.

Drone tech will change the face of naval warfare, just as it will land war.

I’m sure you’re right but China is likely just as capable of responding in kind.

That’s why I said, the entire way Naval Warfare takes place in the future will likely be far different than today.

It’s not far fetched to think, China or the USA or some other country could develop some type of sea based drone, built a few hundred of them, dropped them in the South China Sea, using a cargo ship, fishing vessel or some other ship that might not be considered a threat.

Those drones armed with AI technology could just float around looking for targets and then swarm an enemy vessel.

I’m just thinking out loud of what could happen given how technology is rapidly advancing, look at Ukraine, using basically off the shelf parts is supposedly building sea based drones out of Jet Ski parts. It’s hard to imagine what a more advanced country like China or the USA could do.
