Post Debate Poll: 8-Point Swing to Donald Trump Away from Ron DeSantis
Breitbart ^ | 29 Sep 2023 | JORDAN DIXON-HAMILTON

There was an eight-point swing to former President Donald Trump away from Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) among likely Republican primary voters after Wednesday night’s second debate.

Two days before Wednesday’s debate, Trump had 58 percent support in Morning Consult’s poll. After the debate, where he did not appear, Trump’s support surged to 63 percent.

On the other hand, DeSantis fell three points in the poll, down to 12 percent from the 15 percent he held on Monday.

Trump now holds a 51-point advantage over DeSantis, according to Morning Consult’s poll.

“The sizable shift from Monday to Thursday is notable compared with what happened after the first Republican debate in August, when our Thursday post-debate survey found no significant change in the GOP electorate’s views,” pollster Morning Consult explained.

If DeSantis had any self-respect, he'd drop out, make peace with Trump and endorse him. It might be the only way to save his career.

DeSantis will be gone after New Hampshire if he doesn't.

Trump will be the obvious nominee as well after the New Hampshire primary.

Figure it out. By now, DeSantis isn’t running against Trump; he’s running to be the nominee if Trump is convicted. Trump and his mudslinging advocates had better figure out that if he DOES get convicted, his best chance is to get a Republican who can pardon him or overturn his conviction. That’s why it’s so infuriating that he’s poisoning DeSantis for the general.

I really and sincerely wish that DeSantis and President Trump would just agree to disagree.

Although I like both men, I REALLY like Trump’s style, incite, observations, solutions and just the MAN.

>> I REALLY like Trump’s style, incite, observations, solutions and just the MAN.

I like that in spite of EVERYTHING they throw at him he remains stalwart. And, surprisingly, not bitter.

I believe he is anointed by GOD “for such a time as this”. NOTE: GOD has anointed, and does anoint, MANY MANY less-than-perfect men and women to serve his purposes. Including a few that weren’t even Judeo-Christian. Although I believe that Donald Trump is absolutely a believer in CHRIST — and I firmly believe that Melania is a woman of prayer, and that her prayers on behalf of President Trump and America are one of the forces that has kept us (and her husband) from going under.

Many are blind to the metaphysical (spiritual) component of President Trump’s astonishing rise to power in 2016 — at their own peril.

I speak the word OVERCOME! into President Trump’s future. In JESUS’ name!

Trump will be the nominee, even if some political case convicts him..

If the RNC refused Trump as their nominee they will lose 30 percent of their
Base at least… and they will never come back

You are right.

I can think of so many patriots involved in our Birth, Adams, Franklin, Jefferson, Washington, et al.

BUT it is really hard to come up with a name who would have the passion in today’s world...unless its Donald J Trump.

The are putting that man through the proverbial wringer.

IT WON’T WORK.

>>”Figure it out. By now, DeSantis isn’t running against Trump; he’s running to be the nominee if Trump is convicted.”

No, he’s running to be the nominee, IN THE HOPES that Trump is convicted. Big difference. Figure it out.

>>”Trump and his mudslinging advocates had better figure out that if he DOES get convicted, his best chance is to get a Republican who can pardon him or overturn his conviction.”

If Trump is convicted - if the system is so rigged that that unlikely event takes place, then it’s safe to say that whoever ends up winning the general election will have done so at the pleasure of the deep state. If that ends up being DeSantis then it will just demonstrate what the rest of us have already figured out about him, and the most he’ll do against the deep state that allowed him to win, is the Trump pardon you refer to. While that would be a good thing for Trump, under the circumstances, and none of us want to see him in prison, it will be a sorry consolation prize for having had our government stolen from us.

Goodness. I feel close to exactly the opposite. I was a strong Trump supporter in the past, but almost feel as if I should be re-baptized to atone for my mistake. His life is clearly the antithesis of Christ. I know you still think he is 'chosen' but the anti-Christ is chosen in some manner as well. Not saying that's who Trump is, of course, but rather just saying you shouldn't believe in false idols, and Trump may very well be one.

As I've told you before, Trump's somewhat miraculous win over Hillary was because SO MANY people were praying for him to overcome that witch that day, which he did. But now, as was the case in 2020, not as many people feel the same way about him. Obviously, you still do.

But you shouldn't assume it's still 2016, which was an eternity ago at this point. He's moved far to the left since then. I am hardly the only Christian who no longer believes in him, because of how he has further exposed himself, either.

God Bless, my friend, who I truly admire. Thanks.

>> I know you still think he is ‘chosen’ but the anti-Christ is chosen in some manner as well.

That’s a bridge too far, Eagle. Scripture regarding THE Antichrist refutes your premise right out of the box.

>> Not saying that’s who Trump is, of course

Maybe not, but you’re absolutely implying that President Trump is the Antichrist. Man up and own your prophecy, if that’s what you believe. Otherwise keep silent.

>> just saying you shouldn’t believe in false idols, and Trump may very well be one.

Or maybe President Trump is no such thing. The Spirit tells me “no”.

FRegards and Blessings in Christ!

You are clearly free to choose whatever hero you want. But I will never choose such an obvious contradiction to The Word, as I believe Trump is, as my own personal champion. God may choose him, as he possibly did in 2016, but it will at this point be without my support, this time, based on how he has exposed himself since then. I believe there are better heroes, with greater destinies, awaiting. I believe many others, feel the same way. Trump should have moved towards the light. Instead, he has moved away from it. My support moved accordingly. Many blessings to you and yours.

You figure it out -- if Trump is taken out of the race, there is no candidate worthy of voting for with the possible exception of Vivek Ramaswamy.

Every other candidate is control by the GOP establishment and its donors, including DeSantis. That means no real change in the status quo.

And, the Republican establishment is every bit the enemy the Democrat party is.

Piss on DeSantis. Any candidate that won't acknowledge election fraud occurred in 2020 and is favor of the proxy war in Ukraine is an absolutely unacceptable candidate.

Get it now?

So, regret Roe being overturned? You regret Trump put judges on the SCOTUS have and will uphold religious freedom?

If so, find another hobby.

I get it. You'd rather have a candidate that says the right things rather than one the keeps his promises, including to Christians.

You're mentality is so warped if every Christian believed like you, this country would be plunged into communism.

Scary, that some people could feel this way. That guy has been exposed as a fraud every which way imaginable. Most likely they just like the fact that he's constantly sucking up to Trump.

You're totally clueless. Ramaswamy is the only one other than Trump not bought and paid for by Republican donors and controlled by the GOP establishment.

DeSantis has sold his soul to the establishment and globalists. It's the latter that may well pave the way for one-world government and Anti-Christ.

Anyone denying election fraud occurred in 2020 and is backing the proxy war in Ukraine is absolutely unacceptable as a candidate.

There isn't anything DeSantis won't sell out on if donors tell him to.

We're not going back to being the party Bush as much as people like you want to.

Who cares if they're rich, from fat banks accounts paid off by Pfizer, and other globalist companies. Apparently that's what counts to you. I care about principles, while yours are clearly questionable.

DeSantis has sold his soul to the establishment and globalists.

There's never been any actual proof of this, so I'm sure you have none, either. Meanwhile Trump is a child of the Rothchilds, and foreign banks, but of course you don't care about that.

We're not going back to being the party Bush as much as people like you want to.

Pure projection, which has nothing to do with DeSantis. He made it clear in his book he doesn't believe in the Bush doctrine, but again, you don't care about that. You just want to post your smears.

Desantis needs to be the backup when/if Trump is in jail and can’t run.

Letting the Dems have a 2nd after Trump is insane.

Trump is widely doubling down on We The People vs. the Deep State. I will literally die fighting before I let him go to prison for NOTHING.. and I know I’m not alone.

They know that - and they fear us. That’s why they will chicken out and stop short of locking him up. Trump will win in 2024 beyond the margin of fraud.

DeSantis is making a bad bet.
