Did he miss that abortion is a state issue. The DoD has absolutely no business being involve in it in any way, shape, or form. If a service member wants to kill their baby, it is upon them to take leave, travel off-base and to wherever then want to commit murder. The federal government, including the DoD should have no role in the matter.

Absolutely correct. I have seen a number of obstetricians state unequivocally that the “life of the mother” claim is nothing but myth. They also said that none of them were aware of such a thing ever having been necessary in their experience. In any situation where a normal delivery might endanger the mother’s life, if all else fails they would just deliver the baby, by C-section if necessary. A C-section is far less risky in a critical situation than an abortion. And aside from that, the baby’s life is just as much at stake as the mother’s.
I’m thinking he’s covering up for a bunch of Tailhooks. If the woman doesn’t complain, she’ll get an honorable discharge.
