The New York City congresswoman and her progressive posse are pushing to slam the “top 5%” of New Yorkers with a massive total $15 billion in state income-tax hikes that would hit households making just over $250,000 a year — well below millionaires’ row, an analysis says.
The eye-popping proposed tax increase comes as a new study released Tuesday by Upgraded Points found that New York suffered the largest exodus of wealthy millennials ages 26 to 45 who made more than $200,000 than any other state — a 4.6% reduction, or a net drain, of 27,101 prime-aged taxpaying earners.

Hard to get worked up by it as ‘the wealthy’ in New York have had PLENTY of chances to vote Republican, but chose not to.

good, it is the upper class of NYC that controls the media, is the main contributor to the Democrat party and spouts left wing clap trap at all of their parties and social occasions to be in. If they want socialism that then let them be the first to pay the socialist level taxes. The more we lower the axes on them (as we have done over the past 40 years) the more they vote Democrat. A regular suburban 3 or 4 bedroom house in Westchester or a nearby county will cost you $25K a year in property taxes alone. Retail sales taxes will be another 7-8%
$250K anywhere from Albany south to NYC will barely afford a small family a middle-class lifestyle

Yes - a NJ friend cautioned us, as we drove west from NJ to Seattle - ‘isn’t that area close to a reservation?’ (Ie you might be scalped). And also ‘What if you break your leg?’ (We’d go to a doctor). It’s Wild West of the Hudson River.

this is a short term situation. Most of the people affected will be living in Florida next year.
