Discarded Americans are dying at younger ages while the federal government fills jobs with young and healthy migrants, according to data provided by the New York Times.
“The America of those without college degrees has been scarred by death and staggeringly shorter life spans,” said the October 3 op-ed by Princeton professors Anne Case and Angus Deaton.
Their op-ed said: Almost two-thirds of American adults do not have college degrees, and they have become increasingly excluded from good jobs, political power and social esteem. As their lives and livelihoods are threatened, their longevity declines.
In the 1970s, American life expectancy grew by about four months each year. By the 1980s, it was similar to life expectancy in other rich countries. Since then, other countries have continued to progress, with life spans increasing by more than two and a half months a year. But the United States has slowly, gradually and then precipitously fallen behind.

Well, I would like to think that I live my life healthier and happier than a good number of people my age (early 50s). And part of that involves avoiding the media world that most consumers of the NYT inhabit.
Americans are suffering the fate of a conquered and colonized failed state. Revolution might be the only cure.
My guess is it’s the increases in drug ODs and homicides that are driving the trend. It also explains it’s uniquely occurring in the USA. There’s no other country that so recently, and dramatically, shifted course to allow itself to be flooded with fetanyl and other lethal drugs. There’s no other country where a “defund the police” movement has mushroomed up overnight. There’s an epidemic in the USA of under 30s dying that no other county has.
My spouse and I both have degrees, but I'm telling you, colleges and universities are the single biggest financial scam in the history of man.

They steal your future wealth. Mandate experimental medical treatments, prevent free speech on campus, and profess they want diversity, except for anyone who disagrees with them politically.
The university scam needs to die. Unless you are seeking a STEM degree, you should not be feeding this Marxist machine.

It has to do with the demographic decline of the college age population and the need for the University Industrial Complex to deal with a shrinking market.
Better question: why do we believe any leftist's fake concern over young adults when those same leftists are still loud and proud of their role causing one third of the people under 50 to be aborted away?
It'd be like a loud and proud Nazi in 1945 saying, "you know, I have some concerns for the health of Jews".
Is there a statistical difference between the immigrant (especially illegal) population and the native born one? Has there been a significant change in the causes of death, especially drug overdose among the young. One overdose death at 20 can cancel the life expectancy increase of squeezing out one more year of life each for fifty old people.

When many jobs are requiring a master’s degree to even get an interview, when the job itself is something a high school graduate can do, then it may be a relevant factor.
It has to do with disguising an on avg obese welfare class.
Pre scamdemic-our and some Northern/Western Euro countries lifespans were dropping.
This was entirely due to cheaper, easier access to calories aka obesity.
Thing people forget about ‘life-expectancy’ is that its numbers are affected by infant mortality and how infant mortality is reported. A kid in the U.S. who takes a breath outside of the womb is counted as a live birth and if he or she dies before the next breath, that’s going to make average life expectancy shorter. Many/most nations do not count infant deaths the way we do.
