I think that’s right. If there is another economic collapse like 2008, these guys might be done.
The other thing is US military dominance is really starting to look suspect.
When the Ukrainians abandoned their NATO vehicles, abandoned NATO tactics and switched to attacking on foot and actually made more progress - that suggest to me that claims of Western military “superiority” is BS against a peer opponent.
