I disagree with him. Hamas will have its numbers reduced by combat, but they will go into hiding among the civilian populace and will wait. The sea they can hide in is full of young skulls full of mush and hatred. They will keep the Hamas people concealed.

Eventually, the Israelis will do some damage and, thinking they have done enough to cow Hamas, will stop killing. They do not have the will to do a Warsaw ghetto operation, and they would not want the odium associated with that type of action, however necessary it may be in reality.

This reminds me of the Tet offensive in Nam. I had finished my active and reserve duty with the NavSecGrp.

My wife’s younger brother was with the Big Red One in Nam and a first cousin (more like her brother) was a Marine in Nam at that time Tet was a huge well planned offensive.
