You raise an interesting point. There is no shortage of government and non-profit jobs (i.e., sinecures) she could have gotten into with little effort or evidence of useful skills. I suspect they may not have been ‘cool’ enough to lure her.
She’s a huge narcissist. I doubt she would be happy as a faceless 9 to 5 drone in some kind of obscure bureaucracy having to stare at numbers and endless memos. More fun being a flashy bartender with lots of eyes on her. JMHO
I think the terms “liberal” and “conservative” no longer are of much use in defining the Right and the Left.
Today’s Left no longer even pretends to fight for the poor and the oppressed. Their cries of “racism” and “privilege” are not intended to lift anyone up, but rather to tear things down. They mean to destroy the Constitutional and Judea-Christian bedrock of the Republic.
If you look at the Left through this lens, everything they do makes perfect sense. Their agenda is utter destruction.

Whether current colleges are “educating well” is debatable. And could be part of the problem why she had to become a bartender. Anymore if you swear loyalty to the communist party you can just buy, or get a grant to buy a piece of paper. Actually being educated is irrelevant and not the end goal. Being politically correct and successfully indoctrinated is the true end goal.

The mistake we in the civilized world make is not taking these people at their word. Their goal unto death is the destruction of western civilization. They’ve been screaming it into our faces for 700 years.
They are commanded by their “religion” to use any means, any means at all, to bring that about. If they have to chop the heads off infants to bring that about then that’s what they will do. And no amount of reason, logic, or appeals to “humanity” will change that. They can’t change. Their “religion” forbids it. Anyone trying to bring about some sort of reformation of islam is instantly declared an apostate worthy only of death.
The sooner the civilized world accepts that fact the sooner we can deal with it appropriately. And, unfortunately, the appropriate way to deal with it is to stamp it off the face of the earth forever.
There is no other alternative.

She doesn’t disagree with them. She’s just the sharpest one in the bunch and can see that this is a PR nightmare they won’t recover from if they keep going down this road.

Why in the hell people don’t understand this I’ll never know
1. She’s not stupid; probably has an above-average IQ.
2. She was raised in circumstances where mediocrity was the norm — from the NYC school system to the affluent suburbs of Westchester County.
3. Her above-average intelligence is more than offset by a crippling ignorance and intellectual laziness that carried her into adulthood. These two characteristics make her seem like one of the dumbest people on the planet who aren’t disabled enough to qualify for the Special Olympics. I suspect she was raised with an unhealthy daily dose of television, which progressed to brain-damaging social media in adulthood.
4. None of the impairments described in #3 prevented her from getting a “woman of color” admission to Boston University.
5. She graduated from Boston University despite the fact that she was never educated … because BU is a highly overrated school.

They do. I'm reading Gen Z-oriented websites and they are filled with nonstop propaganda about how the poor Palestinians had no choice but to murder in frustration after decades of brutal Israeli occupation. The kids eat it up like ice cream - probably hoping they can some day kill Mom and Dad the same way to get their inheritances early. They are totally impervious to any factual correction.
Somebody in her entourage reminded her of the large number of Jewish voters in her district.
