This makes me assume Mitch McConnell was working behind the scenes to get his preference promoted. Quid pro quo, of some fashion. I’m disappointed. I thought we were on a roll to the next level up in partisan influence.

I figured it was going to be McCarthy again, and, in a way, I think I am right.
I believe that this still has to have a public vote by the entire house.
