Former Philippine president Rodrigo Duterte, known for his colourful language, has suggested Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu crush Gaza and turn the Hamas-controlled territory into the “world’s biggest cemetery”, after escalating attacks from both sides left more than 2,000 people dead.
Israel relentlessly bombarded the Gaza Strip with hundreds of air strikes after Palestinian militants last Saturday rained rockets on the Jewish state and gunmen stormed its cities, killing hundreds and abducting dozens, including foreigners. Duterte told broadcaster SMNI News that if he were Netanyahu, he would eliminate Hamas by razing the sealed-off enclave to the ground.
“I will crush Hamas. I will give civilians 48 hours to get out of the place. If not, I will flatten it. No more Gaza to fight for,” said Duterte, who retired from politics in 2022 after completing his six-year term in office.
He also urged civilians to back off because he would “pulverise Gaza and make it the biggest cemetery in the world”. Duterte has made controversial remarks and insulted world leaders in the past, including Pope Francis and former US president Barack Obama, whom he once called “son of a w***e”.

There is no solution to the Gaza problem.
At best, there can only be a respite in the Gaza hatred of Israel.
The most prolific product of Gaza is young men and boys who have nothing better to do than fight against Israel. A bomb or two in the midst of a funeral crowded with such vermin would be a good thing.

The Hamas terrorists will just shed their arms and clothes, don civilian garb, and melt into the streams of residents fleeing for Jordan and Syria. Separating terrorists from civilians will be difficult.

Israel must maintain internal and international support for what it does.
Hamas, being a terrorist organization, does not.

For the sake of argument and Devil’s Advocacy, when considering Hamas, why are they termed terrorists. Why is not the force that invaded Israel and is shooting rockets not the Hamas military?

The Hamas are guerilla soldiers acting to achieve their own objectives while armed and directed by Iran.

The current Hamas effort is wrought by Iran to end the Arab participation in the Abram Accord/Negev Summit coalition of the Arabs that matter and israel.
The Abrams Accord effectively ends the Arab support of Palestine and is a mortal threat to Iran
There is no where the Palestinians can go. They are contained and that is the best solution all the world diplomacy can muster
