Former Vice President Mike Pence, a 2024 GOP presidential candidate, said Thursday on News Radio 610’s “New Hampshire Today” that former President Donald Trump was wrong about Hezbollah being “smart.”
Pence was responding to Trump’s comments during a speech in Florida on Wednesday, where he called Hezbollah “smart” and criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Pence said, “This is no time for the former president or any other American leader to be sending any message other than America stands with Israel.”
He continued, “Hezbollah aren’t smart, they’re evil. The former president also said when Russia invaded Ukraine in a similar, unprovoked, unconscionable invasion a year-and-a-half ago, he said Vladimir Putin was a genius. I will tell you that all the blame here lies at the feet of Hamas and the Russian military in these unprovoked invasions. They need to be held to account. America need to stand as leader of the free world and as arsenal of the democracy.”
Pence added, “I’ve been very clear that voices in the Republican Party like Donald Trump, or Ron DeSantis or Vivek Ramaswamy who have been signaling retreat from America’s role as leader of the free world in Eastern Europe, who have been suggesting we have no national interest in supporting the Ukraine military, it has only emboldens the enemies of the free world.”

You had one job, Mike… One job.
That yellow streak up your back seems just a little bit wider every time you speak.
Mike Dense reminds me of Jeb Bush
The desperation of these people injecting their sagging campaigns into this is nauseating.
It really has a cheap look and fools nobody.
Hey Mike, one can be both smart and evil. Ever hear of an intelligent psychotic or an evil genius?
They are BOTH. Mikey should know that can certainly he the case if he knows the Bible like he claims.
This is so pathetic. Good grief!
Trump does stand with Israel good Lord these people are idiots. Trump perhaps used the wrong word by calling them “smart” but he also called ISIS smart, did Trump support ISIS of course not..Trump also called Xi smart, does Trump support China, NO..this is just how Trump talks and the only ones who are trashing him are people who wouldn’t vote for him anyway everyone else has a brain and sees what he meant but next time he should word it differently
Pence can’t go if females are in the room.
And next time ask mother for permission before you speak.
Did Mother come up with that?
OK, we all agree they are evil, but evil can be smart. If they are not smart then how come they haven’t been defeated yet?
learned from the movies that Every evil maniac is a genius.
Many evil people are intelligent.
Not mutually exclusive Mikey
obama- case in point
What Pres Trump does is call it as he sees it.
It’s a shame that professional politicians cannot understand that. They speak in politic all the time.
Lots of these organizations are smart. Evil as hell. Brutal. You name it.
Look at the Taliban. There was a reason that Pres Trump dealt with them. One of them being is that he knew the President of Afghanistan, at the time, wasn’t really in charge of the country. The Taliban, at that point, had retaken all but 2 or 3 provinces in the country. Lo and behold, they were the ones that had US troop presence.
So, they waited. They didn’t piss off Pres Trump....in other words....They were smart.
Once they knew they had a moron in the White House, they made their move. Again...smart.
These politicians just don’t get it. Never have got it. Never will get it. Sadly, the process and those that control it have foisted all of them on us and perfected the art of....if I don’t vote for the R, the D will win....no matter how sad or corrupt the R is.
Hopefully, times will change next year but it might be too late.
