I’d say that he’s got his hands quite full with what he’s already got on his plate.

I wish they would just choose someone on an interim basis. One year. Have a real campaign and vote to keep or replace in a year.

"This is not good. It’s turning into a cluster-****."

Congressional Republicans have been a cluster-**** for many years now.

“at least when they had a majority they worked together as the party in power.”

You’re kidding, right? Like they “worked together” to repeal Obamacare? Like they “worked together” to secure the border? Like they “worked together” to reign in obscenely out of control government spending?

Oh, that’s right, they didn’t do ANY of those things when they controlled the House, the Senate, and the White House.

The ONLY thing the republican’ts “work together” on is screwing the people who vote for them, by grabbing their collective ankles every time a democrat says “bend over”.

Don’t waste your time defending those useless, spineless, self-serving, mealy-mouthed pieces of sh*t.

“Why should the vote have been respected?”

>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Well, WHY arrange a vote in the first place then, if the result of the vote will be dismissed anyway!?

Why did they VOTE?

Trump doesn’t qualify for the GOP conference (the people and meetings held to elect a speaker) but he can be the Speaker. Those are two separate things

Whatever you think of the GOP for the past 30 years, at least when they had a majority they worked together as the party in power.

I assume this is a joke.

When the Republicans had a majority they did everything they could to avoid keeping all of their campaign promises except the ones that involved corporate tax cuts and government welfare for Big Business. In fact, the GOP should have been dismantled as a political party after the 2017 fiasco when they failed to repeal ObamaCare after making promises to do so -- and raising tons of money in the process -- for years.

“Byron Donald’s, great speaker, always on point, Trump supporter, smart as hell. It does’t hurt he is black either.”

$$$$$$$$$$$

In a public vote, let’s see who dares vote against him

1. I believe the promise was to REPLACE Obamacare. (For which they failed to produce a bill, much less pass it.)

2. You’re right that the primary focus has been helping business. If you look at the party’s legacy since its inception that’s been its main focus with the exception of Lincoln and T.Roosevelt. And even under Roosevelt the Republican Congress worked to hamstring him.

3. If you think the party is unsalvageable, the ineptitude of the current Congress will persuade many other Republicans to throw in the towel in agreement with you, which is a shame.

Two down. Trump for Speaker.

Really?

Just the messenger here. The chances of Mister Trump getting 217 votes among the GOP members is zero.

Similarly, the chances of Mister Trump getting a majority of the House votes for SOTH is zero.

The reason for Mister Trump to even consider such a candidacy is odd.

Why would anyone set themselves up for an unnecessary failure?

Why would anyone who cared for our wonderful Country sow division in the House GOP when we need unity now, more than ever?
