Trump’s criticisms do seem random and unnecessary at times, but I think there is a method to the madness.
I’ve noticed over the last 7 or 8 years that political candidates (except Trump) are desperate to be politically correct.
President Trump, either by instinct, genius or guts, discovered that this PC obsession leaves a big opening for a politician that dares to be politically incorrect.
Add to that the fact that, most often, the PC position is the establishment position, the swamp position, the wrong position. So, by daring to be non PC, Trump not only has that lane to himself, but it is he also gets to be on the right side of every issue.
Putting America first
Enforcing the border
Energy independence
Ending forever wars
Taking our jobs back from China
Pro Life
..and so on.
The first example was in 2016 when he said rapists and murderers were coming across the southern border. Well, that was “racist” - that was “unpresidential” - none of his opponents wanted to be called racist so he had the border issue all to himself - that’s one of the reasons he won in 2016.
Same with the Bushes lying about WMD
Same with stolen election
Same with calling dictators smart
It’s non PC - you’re “not supposed to say these things” - that’s exactly why it’s smart that he says them because he’s saying what everyone is thinking.
He says it’s crazy to let men compete in women’s sports or use the girls’ bathroom - well that’s “hate speech”!
The truth is, when he opens his mouth and says something “outrageous” he knows exactly what he’s doing - he’s saying what every normal American is thinking.
I am voting for Trump and try to convince others to do likewise. Both Trump and Netanyahu make mistakes, and so do I because I am human. I don’t think that removing Netanyahu from office would guarantee a better replacement, but I think Biden would be happy if that occurred.
