This is so weird - these ancient hatreds are something that I don’t think most Americans understand.
We are descended from those who decided to make a better life for themselves and their families so they left the misery they were living in. But these middle eastern people would rather cling to their mutual hatreds than create a better life.
I have someone from Turkey living in my house and he explained it to me - their primary focus is apparently to defend what they believe is their historical turf - no matter what. They’d rather die than give up a sliver of land to their ancient enemy...even if they have to live in poverty to maintain the status quo.
As written......Genesis 15:18–21:
"On that day the Lord made a covenant with Abram and said, "To your descendants I give this land, from the Wadi of Egypt to the great river, the Euphrates – the land of the Kenites, Kenizzites, Kadmonites, Hittites, Perizzites, Rephaites, Amorites, Canaanites, Girgashites and Jebusites."
And again as writtn Genesis 17:8:
"I will give to you and to your offspring after you the land of your sojournings, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession, and I will be their God."
Additionally..Psalms 105:11 In-Context
He confirmed it to Jacob as a decree, to Israel as an everlasting covenant: .... “To you I will give the land of Canaan as the portion you will inherit.”
The land was inhabited by the “Canaanites,” who were comprised of several different groups, one of which was “the Canaanites.” “Amorites”, “Hittites” and many others.
In the US, we gladly give up our territory, abandon our culture, forfeit our money and turn our backs on our people.
Although, we would never abandon Israel.
We will advocate genocide before turning our backs on them.
