Now the US has two carrier groups in the immediate area.
God forbid some ragged arse 10th century Muslim decide to take out an American ship or more likely a rubber dinghy doing some errand or maintance or something.
Washington is giving them every possible chance to start the ball.
I remember the Gulf of Tonkin and I read about the Rubin James. History does repeat itself.

The Eisenhower left Norfolk on Friday. Will arrive in the Eastern Med next Friday?

A rubber dingy wouldn’t get near a US carrier battle group.

That ship isn’t sitting there unprotected. There is no doubt a US Navy attack sub shadowing that carrier group to make sure that doesn’t happen.
