Today? We get frequent notices from a variety of lending organization advising us the current value is $270,000 and we should request money from them...LOL...

Yeah. The house on the homestead is nothing special, just your basic farmhouse but it sits in the middle of what was a defunct apple orchard that we are bringing back and it is on the river so the evaluated price has gone up tremendously.
