A Marine Corps expeditionary unit, which abruptly ended pre-scheduled training in Kuwait last week, is en route "to the waters off of Israel," a defense official familiar with planning told Military.com on Monday.
Its movement comes as Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin ordered additional military capabilities to the region. The 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit, or MEU, is capable of conducting amphibious operations and crisis response, among other missions, the official said.

There is the manpower issue, as you noted. There is also the finance issue. The United States is deeply in debt. We don’t have a pot of funds set aside for foreign adventures. So we must yet again borrow money for this adventure.
The Roman Empire tried this sort of thing, and fell in spectacular fashion. There is a good chance we will outdo even them.
It looks like we are rapidly trundling into WWIII right now and Biden will screw it up. It will be a disaster. He has totally screwed up everything.

This is far different than the days after Pearl Harbor. So I wonder who the heck would answer that draft. Most progressives don’t particularly like Israel, and have no interest in defending it. Most conservatives realize how stupid these endless wars are, and also want no part of it.
I’m an old guy. No one has any interest in drafting me. But our country is not under attack. So I would advise anyone who did receive a draft letter to ignore it. And I would join any anti-draft protest that was held near me.
Both no protests before noon, please. It takes me awhile to get going.

Dear Lord, we are set upon, at every turn and on every side, by morons.
In all honesty I see no reason to serve , I say this as a past Army medic. Through Bush senior to Sotoreo the reason is evident. I would not fight for the current crop. It does not serve our REPUBLIC as they allow open borders and fund our enimies with our own hard earned cash. End of story. IMHO/ Glory to God.
