I agree. It’s about time we start enforcing the gun laws and stop dreaming up new ones that will not be enforced. In this case, you have a mentally ill person with an AR15 and is an arms instructor. Are you telling me that is ALLOWED in Maine under their gun laws?

He had the gun illegally- he was cited for domestic violence and as a felony conviction could not own one from what I understand.

The moral to the story is that gun laws did NOTHING to stop him from getting a gun illegally, and throwing more gun laws on the books will do NOTHING to hinder felons hellbent on murdering people

The fbi apparently knew of this man- he ws on their radar, but once again, he was allowed to roam free, as a mentally sick individual, and what he did is the inevitable result,of that fact. It wasn’t a lack,of gun laws that allowed him to commit the heinous acts, but rather it WAS a lack of mental health monitoring and closer scrutiny thst allowed him to
