I thought that was explicitly prohibited in those little constitution booklets.

I’m sure desanctus got full ITAR permits and licenses from the biden admin, and is paying for all this, from his own pockets....

And not buying and paying for stuff from Florida tax payer’s money....

Well, as long as desantis is in control, I guess he thinks he can go thru the budget surplus and spend it, how ever he likes...

A governor sending military equipment to a foreign country?

Since when do govenors make U.S. foreign policy?

Note to Desantis - stop with the stunts to prove what national positions you support.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said he’s arranged to send weapons, and ammunition to Israel................

DeSantis is making sure a foreign country is armed.

So when will DeSantis make arms available to Americans?

Since he is at the bottom of presidential polling and needs something to ‘elevate his profile’

There is not an appetite for getting tied up in more foreign wars.

We can’t and don’t stop every atrocity world-wide.

We could have stopped a horrible civil war in Rwanda, costing hundreds of thousands of lives, with little cost odf effort compared to, say, Afghanistan. But as soon as we left, the scores would be settled, and we would have earned resentment from one or both sides.

Israel has a 1st tier armed forces, and they can take care of their own, if we let them. We can support them in a lot of other ways . DeSantis actions are not going to flip any Trump votes, as Trump’s support of Israel is not in question. The Abraham Accords were a huge step in the right direction, and Biden’s puppet-masters are messing that up, too.

While I support giving aid to Israel, foreign policy is one area that is clearly a federal responsibility.

I recall attempts by groups in the U.S. to send body armor, weapons and ammo to ukraine when that conflict started, were stopped by the U.S. government....

Wow! This bum DeSantis has really shown his true colors, nothing but a cheap politician. To think he was on a path to be POTUS is scary.

This stunt may just kick his butt out of the running. Thought sending arms to another country was a bit above his pay grade. Let anyone on either side so much as get a paper cut from unboxing and he’s on the hook. What a clown.

I wonder where the state of Florida got the type of arms needed for their inventory. And this action could only be done by the state guard as the national guard inventory is under the jurisdiction of the federal government for deployment purposes.

Furthermore:

“The Florida State Guard will be comprised of Floridians,” said DeSantis. “It will be designed to help only Floridians. It will not be subject to be mobilized by the federal government and the federal government cannot impose policies or penalties on the Florida state guard.”

Oops, Ron. The Ron giveth and taketh away.
