This Saturday's game between No. 24 USC and Cal is currently delayed due to a protest taking place on the field.
Moments ago, Brandon Huffman of 247Sports shared a photo of people sitting at midfield at California Memorial Stadium.
"Just before kickoff at Cal-USC in Berkeley and a protest of some sort is going on at midfield," Huffman wrote.
There appears to be at least a dozen people protesting on the field. At this time, it's unclear as to what they're protesting about.

2. Every time I see Nick Saban on the field he's protected the baddest state troopers, I assume that's standard for major college coaches, they should have used those monsters to through the game delayers into a Paddy wagon. Or deputized the inconvenienced linebackers.
And that has to Flo with Cal now?
I read yesterday they were protesting for a professor who was suspended at Cal
BERKELEY, Calif. (AP) — Fifteen people, mostly California students, were arrested and taken away in handcuffs after storming the field and staging a sit-in that delayed the start of Saturday’s game between Cal and No. 24 Southern California at Memorial Stadium.
According to a statement released by the Cal police department, the people were protesting the suspension of a professor. The protesters, many wearing T-shirts that read “Justice for Ivonne,” sat back-to-back in the middle of the Cal logo.
Ivonne del Valle, a Spanish and Portuguese professor, was recently suspended by the university for allegedly stalking and harassing a professor from another school.

It’s Bezerkeley, could be anything.
I expected a protest over Climate Change, or maybe over events in the Middle East. But from the article below, it was over some female professor being suspended for stalking a male professor.
That wasn’t even in my top ten guesses!

Too bad no one did a “Mike Curtis” on them.
Sounds like another Xenorefugee bringing her bullsh*t to America. “Protesting” to defend a stalker. This country has gone 100% Bananas. Daaaayyyyyyyyyy Oh.
Forget it Jake, it’s Berkeley.
I lived in Berkeley when Reagan invaded Grenada. Downtown protests. Didn’t know the city had it’s own foreign policy.
I see we’re back to the same old manure with college students who have no idea what they are talking about but doing something that will have no bearing on anything. Didn’t students get any smarter through evolution?
“A growing group of UC Berkeley students has been staging a months-long protest campaign demanding that the university bring a suspended Spanish and Portuguese professor back to campus. They’ve shared testimonies highlighting how influential Ivonne del Valle has been both as a mentor and as a leading scholar at a school with few Latinx faculty.
But records obtained by KQED paint a troubling picture of what led to del Valle’s suspension. Over three investigations, which looked into behavior that began in 2018 and continued through 2022, the university found del Valle had repeatedly harassed, stalked and retaliated against Joshua Clover, an English and Comparative Literature professor at UC Davis, and then violated orders not to contact him.”
She wasn’t even threatening anyone in schools in the bay area. She had to go out of her way to try to confront someone over a long period of time. She doesn’t need to be suspended...arrested for the harassment and the violation of a no contact order. She’s a menace and breaks the law to do it. This doesn’t need to be teaching minors.

I know that the tractors they have in these stadiums for mowing and landscape work can be outfitted with front blades.
A lot of jerk mayors take themselves very seriously these days. They think they are some kind of weird little gods and godesses.
Yeah, interrupting a college football game - or blocking traffic - preventing people from enjoying their time off or from getting home after a long day at work is a great way to garner support and get people to believe in your cause.
“”It’s Bezerkeley, could be anything.””
That’s for sure. Protesting - that’s WHY they go there, isn’t it? What else are they good for? Well, even that’s debatable....
A bunch of hyperventilating, Xeno crybabies. That’s weird.
Turn the fans loose on the protesters.
“Turn the fans loose on the protesters.”
You just unlocked the secret of how to get me to watch TV sports events.
