It's unfortunate that these law enforcement efforts have been focused on the traditional American citizen rather than actual terrorist threats. Then again it's harder to imagine the current administration arresting it's own kind.

Wray understands the open border policy of the Biden administration has made the U.S. far more susceptible to a terrorist attack. The reason for his hesitation in answering the question is that he was trying to think of a way to blame the “previous administration” for the elevated danger threat.

It’s fun to put jerks on the spot, but gotcha questions don’t lead to anything useful. Senators should ask about things that must be answered with facts instead of opinions and blather. How many criminals have entered the US from the open suthern border? How many are potential terrorists? Etc.
