Erdoğan’s history and recent statements show why Turkey can never be a partner to Israel under his rule

Recent statements by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan have poured cold water on the hope of many Israelis, and others, who had hoped the Abraham Accords peace agreements would have a calming influence on Turkey and bring it once more into friendly relations with Israel.

Partially due to the work of Israeli President Isaac Herzog, Israel and Turkey had begun to see a thaw in the chilly relations, and a resumption of joint diplomatic activities...

Erdoğan has refused to call Hamas a terror organization in recent days, saying, “Hamas is not a terrorist organization, it is a liberation group, mujahideen waging a battle to protect its lands and people.”

However, this realization should be no surprise for anyone who has followed Erdoğan’s proclamations or his path to power.

And since a lot of NATO countries have anti Israel sentiments (they just hide them a lot better), Turkey does indeed belong in NATO :)

What country out there would be afraid to attack a NATO ally if the US wasn’t part of it?

My math comes up with zero.

Though I guess China and Russia might fear that fierce military might of France.

The chess pieces are being moved into position. Israel will come out of this present (and future) conflict wounded but in a seemingly better position in terms of land, threats and wealth. But then she will be greatly deceived. It’s not too difficult to believe that Turkey will somehow figure into this deception and what the Bible calls the ‘covenant of death’ with the Antichrist.

Turkey-never? Erdogan will soon be 70 years old. No need to condemn the entire country.

The country of Turkey is in serious economic trouble and is unable to function in the international markets on which it depends.

The Erdogan rule is responsible. The nation is suffering

Turkey has been using NATO to weaken Russia, so as to enable them to launch the new Ottoman Empire. And they won’t stop at Vienna this time.

His successor won't be, and Erdogan is setting the table.

I’m just saying, when Turkey goes rogue, it won’t necessarily happen under Erdogan, but it will happen in the next 10-20 years, with or without Erdogan.

Well you might be right.

My thinking is that before Erdogan tried to restore the Islamic Otteman empire, Turkey was a secular state. It was not gung ho, radical Islam.

The big advantage Turkey has over the Arab countries and Iran, is they are somewhat Westernized and European. They are most capable of uniting the Islamic world, in a way those other countries could not.

Erdogan tried and failed.

Indonesia has no desire nor reason to unite with the inferior Turks
