Vendor Peter Crotty also had Ron DeSantis T-shirts. But he discounted those items from their original $25 down to $5, an 80% discount on the Florida governor’s name. The excess inventory needed to go, Crotty said.
It was just one sign of Trump’s strength and DeSantis’ challenges in the 2024 Republican primary fight. Barely two months from the first nominating ballots being cast, Trump is flaunting his advantages by trying to embarrass the governor in the two rivals’ shared home state

If you watched Trump’s speech you’ll know why he should be the nominee. The others arent even playing thr same game.
This is becoming sad. DeSantis is really hurting himself.
I think Big Ron and the other RNC hopefuls not named Donald Trump have been told that the RNC Big Club is going to pull support if Trump gets convicted on ANY of his jaywalking charges.
That’s their only hope. That the RNC Big Club goes to court and says “Screw voters! We’re a private club, we can nominate who we want! We don’t want convict Trump!!” Then they’ll brow beat republican voters for not voting RNC Big Club republican. Then the RNC Big Club members will blame Trump for their massive losses in 2024.
The DNC already went to court to affirm that “they’re private, they can do what they want!!” when they had the “super delegate” debacle between Hillary and Bernie in 2016. Don’t think the republican Big Clubbers weren’t watching that bit of lawfare.
They can’t do that. Trump will get more write-in votes than anyone in history. This would destroy the repug party and ruin any chance of coattails. The repugs would go the way of the Whigs.
