Gases in the atmosphere act as a blanket not as a heat storage (although like a blanket they do hold a bit of heat for a short time).
The warmists claim for CO2 is that it is a somewhat better blanket than the other gases, that it offers a bit more resistance to heat radiating from the earth’s surface to outer space.
And that may be true to some extent, but where they go completely off the rail is claiming that the 3% of CO2 that man dumps in the atmosphere each year (the other 97% coming from “mother nature”) is going to lead to a catastrophic, life ending Armageddon.
That’s the part that is preposterous!
Cloud cover blankets us for a night but eventually freeze us solid.
It’s the cloud cover. Not the mix of gases in the atmosphere. The “Climate Crisis” is pure propaganda/bunk.
Ultimately, it’s the immense and prominently positioned Sun that calls the shots. Not puny mankind.
