The ad highlighted a key exchange between Haley and DeSantis from the second GOP primary debate.
“What you don’t need is a president who is against energy independence. Ron DeSantis is against fracking. He’s against drilling. He’s been against… You did it,” Haley said at the time.
“He always talks about what happens on day one. You better watch out because what happens on day two is when you’re in trouble; day two in Florida, you banned fracking, you banned offshore drilling,” she continued.
“That is not true,” DeSantis said, denying the claims by saying Florida voters chose a constitutional amendment that banned offshore drilling.
“You banned it before they voted,” Haley responded.
DeSantis insisted Haley was “totally wrong.”
“On shore, we do it in Florida. We don’t have as much as maybe West Texas, but we do it. But that was a constitution amendment, so that’s just wrong, and let’s just get real here,” he said.
However, it is true that DeSantis openly supported banning fracking when he was running for governor. ABC News noted that “after DeSantis’ election victory, the website for the then-governor-elect included a pledge to ‘work to ban fracking in the state of Florida,’ according to a Nov. 25, 2018, screenshot of the website.”
Haley’s ad highlights some DeSantis quotes, showing him openly opposing offshore drilling — including his opposition to former President Donald Trump.
Some of the DeSantis quotes displayed in the ad include:
“I’m opposed to offshore drilling here in Florida.”
“When [the] president wanted to do offshore drilling, I opposed him on it.”

Who cares? This is like 2 kids having an argument at the kiddie table at Thanksgiving. It’s irrelevant to the adult business that the rest of us are focused on.
I’m leaning Trump. And if I lean further away from DeSantis it won’t be because the ABC “news” website said so. We should never judge Republicans over something the lying Dim media says about them.

Voters will not be swayed to any candidate at this point unless Trump is knocked out.
Desanctimonius could put an end to her by dropping out and backing Trump. She’s a deep state hack and if Ron weren’t he wouldn’t be flirting with her candidacy.
Haley vs DeSantis: As politically irrelevant a competition as it can get. It’s almost comical.
The more Nikki opens her mouth the more I dislike her. Spouted some feminist tripe in a debate about hiring a woman if you wanna get something done. Told Republicans they shouldn’t demonize the abortion issue in which innocent infants are pulled apart limb by limb, have poison injected into their hearts or have their skin scalded off.
LOL, I haven’t really been paying attention to Trump that much, as a vet I will be voting for DeSantis. I watched one of Trump’s recent rallies - thought it was from 2016. He’s got nothing and even is running on solving the Debt problem - 25% of it was from his own four years, this time he is going to solve immigration, lol. Trump is so yesterday and sadly most don’t get it and call themselves conservative.
The fight is for which loser thinks they are top spot if Trump isn’t allowed to run.
Neither one of these fools would win anyway.

It took icky Nikki 30 seconds to take down the confederate battle flag that flew proudly over the capitol in Columbia after an unfortunate incident. She would sell us out in a second to get establishment approval.
Why in the world would Trump even consider Nikki Haley?
That's like me saying, if anyone is so stupid to suggest that Trump might pick Nikki Haley, he needs to be in a nursing home.
I'm sure there's a name for such a suppositional slur, but I don't know it...yet.
Unless he's unalived he will win the nomination.
And if anyone sits out or votes for Biden in the general on their principles they deserve every bit of pain headed their way.
By every objective measure any of the Republicans running or better than Biden.
are better than Biden.
To be fair there is a difference between being totally against fracking and drilling and being against fracking and drilling in Florida where tourism and beaches are an important economic consideration.
