In answer to Cllaire’s question about readiness. Remove 90% of the females in the military. Females only in clarical and nursing slots. Female soldiers, married or otherwise, who become pregnant removed from the service on a general discharge. Military does not pay for abortions nor facilitate abortion. Court martial any pregnant female who obtains an abortion other than to save her life or in case of rape.

I was in a brigade headquarters in the 1st Armored Division prior to getting the warning orders that we’ll be sent to Bosnia as part of IFOR (Implementation FORce), 90% of the females in my unit ran around trying to get knocked up just to avoid deployment. They were mostly medics, commo, and PAC/S1 types.
