The megaphone man bashed his face but the Coroner said that blow was quite evident, but not fatal. However, the bashing knocked him flat hitting his head on the pavement. That blow was fatal.

If this is any guide, in 2017 at a Berkeley campus "free speech" rally, 28-year-old Diablo Valley College (Pleasant Hill) ethics professor Eric Clanton beat a conservative attendee over the head with a bicycle lock.

Clanton was initially charged with four counts of felony assault with a deadly weapon causing great bodily injury.

In 2018, just before his preliminary hearing, Clanton was allowed to plead "no contest" to one misdemeanor charge battery charge. The felony charges against him were dismissed, and an allegation that he had caused serious bodily injury was stricken. Clanton was given three years of probation.

Police said, previously, that Clanton attacked at least three people with a metal U-lock during the April 15 rally in and around Civic Center Park. Court papers later revealed that Clanton struck at least seven people in the head, according to authorities. One person received a head laceration that required five staples to fix. Another was uninjured but had a piece of a helmet broken off. A third was struck across the neck and back, police wrote.

In fairness, anywhere in Arabia they land, they are treated as dhimmis, second class citizens, rather than given full citizenship rights re property ownership and occupations. Outside of Arabia, when made full citizens - even in Israel - they seem to do OK. Israel’s problem is that it can’t remain a Jewish state with a near majority of Muslim voters, which means it can’t absorb them all without also getting tens of millions of non-existent Jews to make aliyah. Palestinians do just fine outside of Arabia even in non-Arab Muslim countries, where they either integrate or make a living as part of a professional or mercantile class. In some cases, they become distinguished clerics based on real or invented blood ties to Muhammad.
