Former President Donald J. Trump is planning an extreme expansion of his first-term crackdown on immigration if he returns to power in 2025 — including preparing to round up undocumented people already in the United States on a vast scale and detain them in sprawling camps while they wait to be expelled.
The plans would sharply restrict both legal and illegal immigration in a multitude of ways.
Mr. Trump wants to revive his first-term border policies, including banning entry by people from certain Muslim-majority nations and reimposing a Covid 19-era policy of refusing asylum claims — though this time he would base that refusal on assertions that migrants carry other infectious diseases like tuberculosis.
He plans to scour the country for unauthorized immigrants and deport people by the millions per year.
To help speed mass deportations, Mr. Trump is preparing an enormous expansion of a form of removal that does not require due process hearings. To help Immigration and Customs Enforcement carry out sweeping raids, he plans to reassign other federal agents and deputize local police officers and National Guard soldiers voluntarily contributed by Republican-run states.
To ease the strain on ICE detention facilities, Mr. Trump wants to build huge camps to detain people while their cases are processed and they await deportation flights. And to get around any refusal by Congress to appropriate the necessary funds, Mr. Trump would redirect money in the military budget, as he did in his first term to spend more on a border wall than Congress had authorized.
In a public reference to his plans, Mr. Trump told a crowd in Iowa in September: “Following the Eisenhower model, we will carry out the largest domestic deportation operation in American history.” The reference was to a 1954 campaign to round up and expel Mexican immigrants that was named for an ethnic slur — “Operation Wetback.”
The constellation of Mr. Trump’s 2025 plans amounts to an assault on immigration on a scale unseen in modern American history. Millions of undocumented immigrants would be barred from the country or uprooted from it years or even decades after settling here.
Such a scale of planned removals would raise logistical, financial and diplomatic challenges and would be vigorously challenged in court. But there is no mistaking the breadth and ambition of the shift Mr. Trump is eyeing.
In a second Trump presidency, the visas of foreign students who participated in anti-Israel or pro-Palestinian protests would be canceled. U.S. consular officials abroad will be directed to expand ideological screening of visa applicants to block people the Trump administration considers to have undesirable attitudes. People who were granted temporary protected status because they are from certain countries deemed unsafe, allowing them to lawfully live and work in the United States, would have that status revoked. ***
“I want them here.”
You know all three million per year? They all come here looking for more chances to keep the Ten Commandments?
It means the demographic collapse of traditional Americans, who built the greatest nation in world history. How did we ever manage without the third worlders, who only managed to build sh*t hole counties (Europeans are not allowed in under present immigration law). And who, by the way, are encouraged to maintain their cultures over here, whereas Americans are encouraged to cancel theirs.
It is a paywall workaround site. It pulls articles from many sites and republishes them.
In the instant case, the article was originally published by the New York Times.
Congress would outlaw such a thing, if it’s not illegal already, and the military/National Guard would refuse orders to assist. The courts would block it with orders.
People who post “We need Trump” need to advance to “We need a whole new government”.
Trump could do a lot of things - but not with all three branches of the government united in defiance, which will be much more organized than it was from 2017-2021.

History DNyuz is an Armenian website that plagiarizes content word for word from major news sources. They literally copy and paste entire articles and embed their advertising code for profit. As one can imagine, a source like this completely lacks transparency as there is zero information to be found about authors, owners, location, or mission.
Since November 2019, the Drudge Report has been linking to this website presumably to bypass paywalls on major news sources such as the New York Times. According to a Buzzfeed report, Dnyuz was founded and is run by “Hayk Karapetyan, a web developer living in Armenia.” They further report that Drudge has driven 8 million page views to DNyuz from November 2019 through May 2020.
Another view of the website and its owner.
I would like a ban on federal funds going to illegals. No housing, food, medical. Perhaps they will leave when the freebies leave.
Why wait to deport? Why hold them in camps? Load them up on large transports and get them the hell out of the US but seal the border first. Hungary does it, Pakistan does it, India does it, Saudi does it, Kuwait does it and all very effectively, quickly and not at a horribly high cost.
Good. Let's get the rest of the America hating crowd out of our country as well. Those are called democRATS.
I like elements of Sheriff Arpaio’s outdoor jails
Also, 99% tax on remittances the illegals send back home
A wall doesn’t matter. Without workplace enforcement, mass deportations, and the enforcement of the law, there is no point.
Yah, but total BS. Just like the same pack of lies that abortion will be outlawed by him by simply signing off on an EOrder. This is a plea to the low-IQ NPCs.
And He/She/They/It/Etc. didn't even have the balls to sign their name to it!
Fine by me.
Illegals I encounter down here don't vote. They know they are here illegally, and they still want to fly under the radar. Especially since the Texas senate just voted to make entering the country illegally a violation of state law.
I go to work in a factory where the boss makes a daily mission speech and his assistant translates in Spanish to the roughly half who can’t or won’t learn English. Having lost my larynx to cancer I’ve become a Harpo Marx in voiceless communication, but some of these people are so stupid it astounds me that they’re able to breathe. But they sure understand Break Time and End of Shift while I continue to work if quality requires more effort.
Doing the work Americans are to lazy to do my ass.
I wasn’t aware Trump has unveiled his plan for this program yet.
I am certain the person who penned this article has never seen what the plan is so that means he made the details up to cause a frenzy.
I hope Donald starts by deporting Gyorgy Schwartz!
I was only joking around. Well, kind of joking. At least somewhat joking. I think. We’ll have to ask the Dems about what think of Trump’s plan to end the illegal vote.
How can a STATE make it illegal to enter the COUNTRY illegally?
