Well, to get rid of gas vehicles, yep

Because they have far more control over you with an EV

And your range (freedom) is not comparable

And your refill time is not comparable, much longer

And they know where you are when you are charging up. And they could prevent you charging up

CLEARLY the case, at least for the form of private transportation that we’re all used to - which is simply hopping in your car and buying fuel as you need it.

In the future, if there are private cars, they will be essentially limited to short, local, trips, as the numerous nightmare articles from people trying to use them on longer trips has shown.
