President Biden told a group of world leaders that California Gov. Gavin Newsom "could have the job I’m looking for" if he wanted, amid a low approval rating and discontent within his own party.
"I want to talk about Governor Newsom. I want to thank him. He’s been one hell of a governor, man," Biden said Wednesday during a welcome reception for APEC Leaders in San Francisco. "Matter of fact, he could be anything he wants. He could have the job I’m looking for."
Biden's eyebrow-raising comment was made at "the most significant event with world leaders in San Francisco in recent history," according to the APEC 2023 website for the event.
Newsom recently elevated rumors of running a "shadow campaign" amid trips to Israel amid its war with Hamas, before heading to China late last month to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
...Biden is the "starter" and Newsom is the "backup quarterback" in the 2024 race, as more Democrats vocalize their concern over the strength of a Biden nomination.

A informed, educated, and rationally thinking electorate would want to see Newsome’s resume. Specially, what have you done as executive of California? How do you justify asking for a national role when you have failed California?
Sadly, from my experience here in Reno, they are bring the worst of California with them.
He HAS been a Hell of a governor. Or a governor from Hell. Whatever.
Newsom has been the eventual go-to guy all along. He is the perfect rat candidate: governor, big and safe state; down the line liberal-lefty; connections with the power brokers in the party; not real incisive thinker, he’s in the tank for global warming and renewables and whatever is next; He will be easily managed by those who set the agenda.
And that’s why I’m staying here. I figure that at the current rate, a vast majority of the left-leaning idiots will have moved to other states within the next 5 years.
Patience is virtue.
I wonder how he will compare (parse/spin) his mess of a State compared to Trumps accomplishments nation wide. Trump has the ability to strike deep, but Newsome has a better gift of gab (more articulate). I believe it will come down to those 2. Whose else do the Rats have to run against Trump?
Proof of that will come when you hear him say “Don’t read this”
