If this country were the country they grew up in, or something close to it, they would fight for THEIR country.
Problem is, it is all but completely stolen and transformed.
When you say your country, what does that mean?
Are we fighting for just land or the American ideals?
If the ideals don’t exist anymore, the land itself is not worth fighting for. There is no amount of socialism that I consider worth fighting for.
Not willing to fight for gender pretenders, pronouns, safe spaces, puppy masks, fursuits, “white guilt/generational guilt” 2 minutes of hate briefings, “if you believe in the Constitution you’re a terrorist” briefings, places we have no strategic interests, and drag queen groomer story hours.
Who would want to place themselves in harm’s way for these libs in charge who HATE America. And do you really trust our illegitimate Pres to care abt you?
A person is supposed to join the military to DEFEND his country, not fight FOR his country. Big difference there.
George Washington would faint if he saw a map showing the hundreds of US military bases scattered around the world. Are all these bases vital to our national defense? I think not.
It is not so simple. People might fight to defend their country, but no sane person would ever want to place there lives in the hands of someone like Joe Biden or those like him.
MY County died in the first week of November 2020.
I will not support the evil that has replaced it and I will not encourage my nephew’s or niece’s to enter its military.
I am too crippled up to resist the new regime activity but offer passive resistance at every opportunity.
This County has gone to hell; I refuse to follow.

Then maybe one can engage in a sensible discussion about fighting for "values."
I’d be willing to fight against the dnc.
I’ll fight to defend my neighborhood, my township, my county, and maybe even my state (at least the “red” parts of it). Anything beyond that isn’t even on my radar screen.
I’d say they’re unwilling to fight for the current “leaders” of this country and our military institutions.
I’m retired active duty. But I would not defend 75% of the citizens of this country. Maybe more.
Draft some rich A-hole’s kids.
My Country wants to rip me a new one.
So why should I fight for it? And not against it?
Someone? Someone's a moron.
I, for one, am willing to lay down my life, and the lives of my children, to support Hunter Biden’s Ukraine investments and cocaine habit.
It’s a tough call. I despise the scumbags who run and who have largely ruined this country. I wouldn’t fight for them or for their adventures in hellholes on the other side of the world. On the other hand, I adore the land and some of the people and American history and ideals. I love my home and my family and my neighbors, and I would stand up and fight for them on our soil, against all enemies, foreign and domestic. I am an older man, but I still have some fight in me. Live free or die.
A corollary to go woke go broke -> go woke no folk.
Asking if Americans are willing to fight for their country is a dangerous question once they understand who they really need to be fighting against in order to protect it.
