A federal appeals court on Tuesday ruled in favor of a gun rights group, saying Maryland's preliminary handgun-licensure requirement is unconstitutional and cannot be enforced.
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit ruled in favor of Maryland Shall Issue, which challenged the law, The Daily Record reported.
The decision is a victory for gun rights advocates in the wake of the Supreme Court’s decision in New York State Rifle & Pistol Association Inc. v. Bruen.

The fairly recently elected Governor and his Administration rammed through a law which effectively banned concealed carry almost everywhere. Law went into effect Oct 1st.
An Obama stooge from the District of Maryland [Ellen Lipton Hollander] ruled against Maryland Shall Issue at the district court level, then the appeal to the Fourth Circuit was 2 to 1 - A Trump judge [Julius Richardson] and a Dubya judge [G. Steven Agee] against ANOTHER Obama stooge, Barbara Milano Keenan.
Babs Keenan was saddened by the Rule of Law.

Kind of confused here. Was Roberts expected to make a public statement on a lower court ruling when the matter was not before the Supreme Ct.?
Roberts has been very solid on 2A matters. He was the deciding vote on the 2008 Heller case, and all the way to the Bruen case he’s been on gun owners’ side.
The commies will continue their fight to disarm the public so they can without inhibition unleash their red terror.

That law was also overturned by the courts. The state is not appealing.
The problem is that the lunatic asylum they call a legislature goes back into session in January.
Thank you for pointing out the dark lining in this silver cloud but they aren't likely to appeal any time soon.
Only SCOTUS can overturn a federal appeals court decision. If the ANTIs appeal to SCOTUS and lose, it will be next to impossible to ever get it overturned. And with its current constitution, SCOTUS is virtually certain to uphold the appeals court decision because only a neo-Marxist would try to pretend it isn't unconstitutional to require a license to exercise a constitutionally-enumerated right.
They will at the least bide their time and wait for SCOTUS to deteriorate into a staffing more favorably inclined to their socialist activism.
