I don’t use my phone much. When I pre-trip the vehicle I am assigned for work, I take photos of any damage I see on the vehicle, as well as reporting it on paper. It’s call CYA.
Also, during the CCP-Coronavirus CONdemic, as I refused the shots, I had to self-test for the CCP-coronavirus, three times a week. I would submit a photo of the results of the test to a website that verified the results were negative. I still have those pixels, just in case.
What I discovered from the CCP-Coronavirus CONdemic is that, to unscrupulous, would-be dictator politician/thugs, like Crime Minister Justin(e) Castreau, and former Alberta Premier Oberführer ‘Justin’ Kenney and defeated (ha, ha) former Health Minister ShamWow Shandro, ‘freedom’ is merely a VERY thin velvet veneer over the iron fist such pols feel they wield over the populace. Canaduh needs to have something equivalent to your 2nd ammendment, to keep such would-be dictators in line!
Being retired means never having to jump through hoops for anyone but yourself. The only thing I use my cell phone for are calls, and the occasional text to reorder my prescriptions, but I can do that on my laptop as well. I got rid of my Spectrum landline last year, because the only calls I got on it were spam. I'd had the ringer turned off on it for years. Got rid of my cable at the same time too. If I hadn't had to upgrade to a 4G phone all those years ago, because my 3G phone was being interfered with by someone's network booster in the area, I never would have bought one. I've hated the thing from the day I got it, because I always had 4 bars at home on my 3G phone, but when I got my 5S iPhone, I was only able to get one or two bars at home. I ended up complaining to Verizon about it, and because I'd been a customer of theirs for at least 20 years (previous landline service), they sent me a $250 network booster for free, in order to give me my four bars again. There is no 5G service here, which is fine for me. When this phone craps the bed, I won't be buying another smart phone, but may go with a prepaid phone instead. I don't need to have internet access on a phone I only use for calls.
